Abstract

Biodiversity in Indonesia is so abundant that it is called a megabiodiversity area. Endemic animal species are spread throughout the archipelago in Indonesia. However, due to low public knowledge, some endemic animals are threatened with extinction. Sustainable animal management can be a conservation solution that the government can use to maintain the stability of these animals. This research aims to determine sustainable animal management in the ecotourism industry. This research uses the literature study method. The research results show that in situ conservation through an ecotourism approach is one way to reduce the impact of animal extinction.
